Our People Behind The Project
Hi, I'm Ange,
Mum of three.
Business owner.
Future Care Project founder.
Lover of strong coffee and stronger policy reform.
Now based in Goondiwindi, I haven’t always called regional Australia home but it’s where I’ve found both purpose and community. After years of living in cities all over the world and working across a host of different professional sectors, it was an unexpected move to the bush that opened my eyes to just how much regional families are forced to go without, especially when it comes to essential services like childcare.
Advocacy has always been part of who I am, however I never imagined it would lead me here. But when you live in a community where families are continually forced to choose between care and career, between remaining in the workforce or staying at home, between relocating for services or staying close to family, you eventually reach a point where you either accept the system as it is or decide to fight for something better.
The Future Care Project is my way of choosing the latter. It’s a stand against the idea that where you live should determine the quality of care your children receive or the opportunities you have as a parent or business owner to contribute and thrive.
Over the past 2 years I've worked alongside families, educators, local providers, government departments and fellow change-makers to build real, long-term solutions. My approach blends grassroots advocacy with strategy, storytelling, and just a little bit of chaos (because let’s be honest, there’s no other way with three kids and a mission this big!).
I don’t pretend to have all the answers to the barriers we face living in Regional Australia, but I am here to help fix the bits I can reach, and for me that starts with better access to quality early childhood education and care.
Because when we invest in children and empower parents, we create the conditions for regional communities to thrive, now and into the future.

Do you know Bec? Let me introduce you to this local powerhouse! Full of passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to community.
Rebecca Cover played the most meaningful role in the early development of the Future Care Project, generously offering her time, insight, and encouragement to help shape its vision from the very beginning. With a strong sense of community and deep local connections, Rebecca was instrumental in getting conversations started about the childcare crisis affecting Goondiwindi Region and it impact on our local business community.
Her early advocacy helped build momentum, opened doors, and gave the project the push it needed to take shape. While Rebecca has since refocused her energy on her work with our local Chamber of Commerce, she remains a trusted friend to the Future Care Project and someone whose support and belief in the mission continues to be greatly valued.
